No matter who you are or what kind of experiences you’re seeking—fishing, hiking, golfing, climbing, swimming—it’s all right at your fingertips in our abounding little slice of paradise.

Great Glen Trails offers three different types of kayaking adventures: Guided Wildlife Kayaking Tour, Sunset Kayaking Tour and Whitewater Kayaking Clinic.

Mountains of Adventures

Jump into a summer of adventure with the whole family! Kayak through rapids on the Saco or Androscoggin River, hike to sweeping viewpoints in the many surrounding State Parks, check out the Valley’s thriving fly-fishing scene, rappel down cascading waterfalls and mountain climb in the White Mountain National Forest. Our local guides help visitors of all ages and abilities safely embark on every activity on their bucket lists. Click here to book your excursions today!

Bask in Swimming Holes

Venturing to the Valley’s swimming holes for a refreshing dip is a must-do activity for anyone’s summer itinerary. You can find these swimming holes in a myriad of places: on scenic hiking trails, under charming covered bridges, throughout the iconic Saco River and all along the famously picturesque Kancamagus Highway. Click here for a sample of information on where you can hunt for these little oases!

Biking at Your Pace

If you're looking for scenic bike trails, check out the MWV Rec Path, the mountain bike paths at Great Glen Trails and the Mountain Division Trail. For those interested in spending the day honing their skills at a bike park, head to Cranmore Mountain Resort or Bretton Woods. As for rentals, visitors of all ages and abilities can find top-of-the-line bikes at Cranmore Mountain Resort, Bob & Terry’s and Stan and Dan Sports—all located in North Conway.

Enjoy mountain views while you practice your golf swing at Eagle Mountain House.

Over 100 Holes of Golf

There are over 100 holes of golf in the Valley, one of the most beautiful settings in the Northeast. Whether you’re out on the green every weekend or are a beginner, there’s something for everyone. Consult our list of different courses here to find the one that’s right for you.

If you’re looking for some more approachable family fun, make your way to Pirate’s Cove Mini Golf! You’ll putt your way under waterfalls, through mountain caves and over footbridges at this colorful and amusing golf course.

Go indoors, rain or shine

For those looking to escape the heat this summer, the good times continue with the many indoor activities the Valley has to offer!

Check out Ryan’s Family Amusements, which offers 50 of your favorite games, a range of exciting prizes and—coming this summer—an inflatable airpark! Or stop by White Mountain Indoor Golf, where you can virtually play 85 of the best courses in the world. Another community favorite is White Lake Speedway, which offers a whole host of activities—from laser tag to go-kart racing to miniature golf! Or, if you still want to enjoy the water, bring the whole family to Kahuna Laguna, the largest indoor water park in New Hampshire!

There’s also plenty of interactive, educational activities throughout the Valley. Pay a visit to Living Shores Aquarium, where you can discover the fascinating world of the deep sea. Or head the New England Ski Museum, and learn all about the Valley’s rich history of skiing.
